KANYE WEST: GRAMMY-TASTIC
He's just been nominated for a total of eight Grammy Awards, and Kanye West seems pretty darn pleased with the news. The "Jesus Walks" rapper shopped for furniture in West Hollywood yesterday, sporting a positive vibe.
As for his professional life, it sounds like he's still taking some time to deal with the recent death of his mother.
With only a few days notice, West cancelled his appearance at the KDWB Jingle Ball last night, citing an unspecified "family matter."
The KDWB program director explained, "We tried to get [West] on the air to explain all this to fans, but he refused. We did everything we could to save this thing."
Somehow we doubt his no-show last night will do much to dampen his popularity with his fans.
