PETE WENTZ AND ASHLEE SIMPSON: DATE NIGHT
He spent Friday night rocking Madison Square Garden at the 2007 Jingle Ball. And on Saturday night, Pete Wentz returned to the famed NYC arena - but this time the Fall Out Boy bassist was there on a date.
Seated next to girlfriend Ashlee Simpson, the couple joked and laughed with one another while watching the New York Knicks beat the New Jersey Nets 94-86.
Meanwhile, Pete recently cleared up rumors claiming that he had his invitation to the Simpson family Christmas party revoked over sexual orientation related comments to Blender magazine.
According to reports, Wentz told the magazine that "he has kissed other men," sending Ashlee's father, Joe Simpson, "into a rage, where he was rumored to have banned Wentz from joining the family over the holidays."
More recently, however, MTV News received an e-mail from Wentz, which read: "I think Joe gets a really bad rap in the press. He's always been nothing but nice to me."
The message went on to tell that Pete then "cleared up the rumors further, by saying that Joe just recently phoned him to confirm his Wentz's attendance at this year's holiday festivities."
