Rachael Ray has new Food Network series (AP)

NEW YORK - The Food Network has ordered extra helpings of Rachael Ray.

A new prime-time series, "Rachael's Vacation," will premiere Jan. 12, the network announced Monday. Viewers will follow Ray as she discovers cities, countries, foods and lifestyles around the world.

Ray, 39, signed a two-year deal for the series, the network said.

There will also be 60 new episodes per year of Ray's daytime show, "30 Minute Meals," said Food Network President Brooke Johnson.

Additional terms of the arrangement weren't disclosed.

"Rachael is the quintessential example of the homegrown stars we create at Food Network," said Johnson in a statement. "She has been with us since 2001, and we have built a strong partnership that will continue for years to come and bring more new and exciting projects."

The Food Network said last month it was ending production of Emeril Lagasse's "Emeril Live," which had been on the air for 10 years, but would continue producing "The Essence of Emeril."

Ray also hosts a syndicated daytime talk show, "Rachael Ray."
