Singer Amy Winehouse was arrested Tuesday in London in connection with an alleged $400,000 plot to fix her husband's assault trial, reports said. British media reported the beehive-coiffed, tattoo-sporting singer arrived at Shoreditch police station in east London to be formally booked on a charge of perverting justice.
Winehouse scrapped a concert tour after her husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, was arrested in November.
Fielder-Civil, 25, was initially charged with inflicting grievous bodily harm for allegedly attacking a bar owner in June 2006. His troubles grew when authorities alleged that a witness in the case was offered a big payoff to change his story.
Fielder-Civil and two other men are now facing charges of perverting justice.
Winehouse and her husband were fined after being busted on marijuana charges in Norway in October.
