Former Happy Days star Henry "The Fonz" Winkler regrets that he turned down the part of Danny in the musical "Grease", which turned out to be a huge hit film and launched John Travolta's big screen film career. Winkler says he was devastated when he realized he had made such a bad decision.
Although Winkler went on to have a successful career as a producer, he is still best known as an actor for playing 'The Fonz', while Travolta went on to become a major movie star.
He says, "I was asked to be in Grease. But I decided I didn't want to be typecast. But what I didn't realise was that I already was.
"That's why John Travolta went on to buy his own plane and I just went home."
