MADONNA'S REAL ESTATE BATTLE
For some celebrities, too much is never enough. And though Madonna already has a 6,000 square foot duplex on the upper West Side of Manhattan, NYC, she wants more.
Her desire to expand is so great that she's filed a summons in Manhattan Supreme Court against the board and management company at her Central Park West luxury building. Apparently, the co-op won't let her go beyond her current walls into a neighboring apartment.
The Material Girl's current set up includes the massive duplex along with a gym and its own beauty salon.
At two pages long, the summons accuses the co-op board/management company of breach of contract for supposedly holding up the sale of a neighboring seventh-floor apartment, to keep it from being acquired by the pop singer.
She's also demanding that 868 co-op shares be transferred into her name.
