Los Angeles (E! Online) - Given the choice between scheduling more court dates and getting on with her holiday season, it was no contest for Vivica A. Fox.
The Independence Day star copped Thursday to driving with a blood-alcohol level of 0.08 percent or above, despite having originally pleaded not guilty in connection with her March arrest after being pulled over for speeding.
In exchange for pleading no contest to the one misdemeanor, prosecutors dropped a charge of driving under the influence.
Fox, 43, was sentenced to three years probation, ordered to complete a 90-day alcohol-education program and fined $390, plus a 200 percent penalty assessment.
Her lawyer entered a plea on her behalf in Van Nuys Superior Court. If convicted of both charges at trial, Fox could have been looking at up to six months in jail.
With that resolved, it looks as if the Kill Bill assassin has no plans to speak out about what her arresting officer deemed her condescending manner when she was taken into custody Mar. 20 and why she called another patrolman a racist white cop, according to the California Highway Patrols report.
Fox briefly addressed her infraction at the Daytime Emmy Awards in June, though, telling reporters backstage, It was an unfortunate judgment [for which] I am taking full responsibility.
Shell hire a driver next time, Fox said.
