Yung Joc arrested at Cleveland airport (AP)

CLEVELAND - Yung Joc was charged Monday with carrying a concealed weapon after police said a loaded gun was found in his carry-on bag at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport.

The 25-year-old rapper, whose real name is Jasiel Robinson, was arrested about 6:20 a.m. Sunday before boarding a Delta Air Lines flight, police spokesman Lt. Thomas Stacho said.

Police said they found a semiautomatic handgun and ammunition in Robinson's carry-on bag. He told them he didn't know the weapon was there, Stacho said.

Robinson was attempting to go through a standard security checkpoint when he was stopped and questioned, then arrested without incident, said Fred Szabo, airport commissioner.

Robinson, of Atlanta, was freed Monday on $50,000 bond after he was formally charged with the felony. He is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday.

"Yung Joc maintains his innocence. He would appreciate privacy as he addresses these allegations," said his lawyer, Stanley Jackson Jr.

Neither Szabo nor Stacho knew which flight Robinson attempted to board or where it was headed.

Yung Joc's albums include "New Joc City" and "Hustlenomic$."
